Lock the buggers up and throw the key away! They cause horrendous distress and damage to people and families, and have led to suicides. In fact, ironically, it was the suicide of a troll having her identity revealed in the Madeleine McCann case which helped bring this to prominence.

IMO, their acts are often far worse than that of a theif and worse, as the torture they inflict is slow, prolonged and continuous so there is never any release for the victim. It is like bullying which just never ever stops.
