The hidden agenda is that this change will allow them to put ANPR cameras all over the country AND the introduction of the DD monthly payment will give this agency access to that persons bank account In other words they have a plan

They can also get double tax for some months when you buy a car.
      For example......
If you sell a car today, and you have paid tax until February 2015.
You can get a refund of any tax paid from the beginning of October this year, September's tax having been partly used.
However, if you buy this car today, even if tax has been paid for September, you will have to pay from the Beginning of the current month (September in this example).
So the DVLA are getting two lots of tax for one month.........
So be very aware of this if you buy a used car.
You can only tax it from the beginning of the current month you bought it in, not the beginning of the next month.
You will have no other choice, as all refunds are being done automatically.
So any car you buy will not be taxed, and will have to be taxed by you, before you can legally drive it away.
Another bloody con for the motorist.
