      wow.

      imagine if you were able to keep a running count between you of the real legal beagles interesting numbers ;

      1. The total amount in claimed SD that you have managed to reduce/strike
      2. The total amount of claims and charges that other posters have been helped with.
      3. The ammount of bankruptcy's you have stopped at the SD stage.
      3. The number of times you have stopped Debt co's over imposing there position on people.

      and there is always 2 sides to it.

      am sure that there is a heartfelt sympathy across the posters for the ;

      1. poor, unfortunate unscrupulous debit company and employees that will go without bonuses
      2. Those poor unscrupulous solicitors and paper solicitors ( i have tears welling as i type )

      I mean, were the money going to come for the extra 4 weeks in Africa this year, or the personalised number plate, if LB keep this up, they will even have to start shopping at ALDIs, ( my heart bleeds )

      So its ok saying, whoo look at us, but i hope you account for the poor and so loved debit managers and buddies that unable to buy caviare nowadays , .

      Lol... hope you get my sense of humour, and very well done
      crazy council ( as in local council,NELC ) as a member of the public, i don't get mad, i get even

        I like to think that the advice and information helps to promote better practice from DCA's etc and prevents unscrupulous behaviour from them.........ever the eternal optimist I know :tinysmile_twink_t2:

        On a more serious note we have actually made a difference to the practices of financial institutions etc through our consultation work, policy input and work with various agencies/authorities such as the Government, OFT, FCA, MOJ and Police to name just a few. The information and guidance that LegalBEAGLES and it's contributors give also creates a hub that helps to shape the landscape of consumer empowerment, knowledge and awareness creating what we hope has given a great "community" spirit to the people most in need.

        But enough waffling from me, I'm just here for the staff coffee & biscuits.

            Agree with CC; it would be fantastic to know just how many people have won their battles because of your help. This site has certainly helped a lot of people sleep soundly!:hail:

                  Am sure I can say the number is in the thousands and I am very proud to be part of Legal Beagles and all it has achieved.
                  I hope it goes on doing what it does best until we are no longer in any position to be ripped off and abused as we have all been in the past.
                  There will always be a slot for some moron to slide into and try and take us for all we have, the only way imho for this to be prevented is through the regulators and for them to actually do what the job description states.
                  I do think this will happen eventually, but only if we keep on finding loop holes ,flaws and ways to stop the massive abuse we have had in the past and until the powers that be accept prevention is better than cure, financially and logically there will always be a place and a need for Legal Beagles.

                            Re: Legal Beagles celebrates its 50,000th member!

                            In the short time I have posted on Legal Beagles, the one thing that makes me realise there will always be a need for Legal Beagles to be what it has become is when people who have been helped say, "Thank God I found Legal Beagles. I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't." That says a lot about the calibre of the advice given and those who give their knowledge and time freely to provide it.

                            Celestine and Amethyst should be rightly proud of the website they set up in 2007 and what it has become.
                            Life is a journey on which we all travel, sometimes together, but never alone.
