Re: Merrill Lynch co-president to retire

Hey, Possibly another opening for Tony Blair, He already has advisory seats at J P Morgan with a salary of £2.5 million, Zurich salary another 6 figure sum. Blair is said to be keen to earn as much as he reasonably can over the next year because he hopes to become the EU's first Permanent President of the Council of Ministers from the start of 2009. If he gets the EU job, which would come with a salary of around £200,000, he will have to give up his consultancies. The appointment is the fourth deal negotiated by Blair since leaving office. He will receive a £5.8m advance for his memoirs and half a million pounds from Washington Speakers Bureau Inc for a worldwide tour of speaking engagements.

Has he got no scruples? and didn't he know exactly the right time to leave Downing street, now that the s*** is hitting the fan.

    Hod..Liam..
