Does he have a current driver's licence and, if he does, why?

Apparently his ex is writing a book which she began whilst in prison. Who says crime doesn't pay?

The only amazing thing is that the populace continue to vote for a system that is openly and utterly corrupt.

                  What other option is available?

If the proles did not vote, we'd still have a self-serving kakistocracy.

                          Weighing in the Mayor. Buckinghamshire.

L/S as officials including the mayor parade down the street, people stand and watch. M/S as the mayor sits in a seat to be weighed. The Town Crier announces the ancient custom of weighing the mayor, he rings his bell and proclaims the mayor to be "15 stone 4, no more!" People laugh and the mayor gets up.

Whereas the Mayor was not expected to become fatter or heavier in office and could be fined if he did, I would suggest weighing all the candidates for a seat on the council and appointing the lightest. Or the heaviest, as either would be as satisfactory and as likely to return someone willing to strive for their constituents as the present lottery of an election.

They refer to it as 'living off the fat of the land', which was, & still is, 'frowned upon' & booed (all done in the best possible taste, of course!)
