How refreshing to see that the mother of murdered black teenager Stephen Lawrence will have a voice in Parliament. Perhaps racism within the police will now be properly addressed. About time too.

Problem: They want to get rid of the House of Lords, but the public won't stand for it. So what do do? Answer - make it more squalid then ever.

      Reaction: Public - "It's a cesspool".

Solution: Government - "Okay, we'll clean up and abolish the whole thing".
