Good Grief Elo........I doubt more than 4 or 5 lines of that report are factually correct....never normally are.

What is perhaps more interesting than the story is the fact that we assume all the facts to be full and correct and presented in a fair and coherent manner so that we can pass comment on what we "know" about this person and the incident. Funny that - I never noticed much credence given to the same publications headlines when they consist of "unemployed scroungers to be made to work for benefits" or "too many fraudsters claiming disability".
      A step too far, methinks!
Questioning the veracity of that noble rag & inferring a less than impartial reportage of the news!

One can just picture the scene:

Wigged & Robed, up against the likes of RBS...but breaks into song:
There's an old mill by the stream,
          Nellie Dean!
Where we used to sit and dream,
          Nellie Dean!
And the waters as they flow
Seem to murmur soft and low.
          You're my heart's desire.
          I love you,
          Nellie Dean! Sweet Nellie Dean!

          HA HA HA HA HA!

Whatever one might think of the Daily Wail, that pustulent organ is hardly noted for its veracity.

Oi Cloggy  For those of us (moi) who trained on The Daily Mail and wrote a column for the paper for some years, I find your post both cynical and entirely accurate
