    Re: Homebase.

Just had a look through some of the articles relating to the poster you've posted, Shell. Workfare is a pseudonym for Slave Labour, something outlawed under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and the UK's Human Rights Act. It is also an illegal subsidy which is outlawed under EU and UK competiton laws. The politicians can lie, obfusicate and dress Workfare up as much as they like. It is an affront to human rights and those firms who are receiving illegal subsidies from the taxpayers should not only be boycotted, but made to reimburse the taxpayer. They should also be forced to pay a wage to those they exploit.
Life is a journey on which we all travel, sometimes together, but never alone.

I agree Bluebottle. My argument is, if they have vacancies, they should be given to paid workers. The government is massaging the unemployment figures by sending people out to work for nothing but benefits. What's even worse is that those sent to these companies are usually not the long time unemployed, they are people that have worked and want to work, but want a real job. These are people that really don't need experience of the workplace. They already have that.
