    It's strange how you get mixed messages over these things. My nephew qualified a year ago, and many of his cohort were unable to find employment. Also, even with 4 A*'s at A level, there was no guarantee he was going to get into St Andrew's where he did the first of the two degrees they have to complete.

    If there are too many doctors, perhaps it is not a bad thing that people are being put off for the moment. Of course one has to ensure that this doesn't lead to a shortage in years to come.
