Influential guitarist Bert Weedon, best known for creating the popular tutorial manual Play In A Day, has died aged 91.

Sad to see the legend leave us - I remember 'Play in a Day.' I remember him playing on childrens' TV quite often - it may have been "Six-o-Clock Club," with puppets such as Fred Barker and Pussycat Willum.

Me and a mate used to "beef up" his tunes by playing his LP through a selection of guitar effects pedals, for a larf !!!
