Is your personal information really at risk from foreign call centres?

It has been reported that Indian call centre workers have been selling confidential information about British citizens for 2p. Are there adequate controls in place?......

Funny just been talking about these on militants thread. I am always getting calls from these people,"we are doing a survey", if someone pays 2p for my info they are welcome to it, i just make up the answers anyway.

Love the last sentence in the article "In the meantime, if you receive an unsolicited call from a call centre operative who asks you for your security details, refuse."

Another bunch of mugs for me to say "I'll get my dad" to and put on the stairs while I go away and do something else for an hour.

I've decided to make being poor the new fashion. Too many people want to rob our money, when I win the lottery I'll just have a massive mattress and 2 rottweilers. Job done.

I learned last week that the Royal Free hospital in Hampstead has got rid of their medical secretaries and are outsourcing all letters re patients to an Indian centre which is causing havoc. The mistakes are making letters go backwards and forwards to India and it is taking months for the letters to reach it's destinations.

Now I dont like the fact that people personal details yet again are being sent out of this country and are then not under the data protection. So they get your name DOB, Address etc when they are doing the letters. Not a clever move IMHO.

All for the sake of a cheap date. And still they keep up the sham that customer service always comes first, whatever the organisation.
