Thats a real shame, as someone who had her own battle with the disease last year I appreciate everything those people did, shame on the bank.

The very fact they state it is no longer cost effective, sadly suggests to me they were never really doing it for charitable purposes. Giving to a charity is rarely cost effective because you're giving your money away. If you can offset this against tax, then in a way you're not really giving.

One has to suspect the bank was doing it to 'look good' by advertising the fact it was giving to charity, while using this as a magnet to attract custom.

I sincerely hope they give in another way.
