Terribly sad, i notice bereavement was a time when they made it extra hard for someone to cope with the pressures... Nothing changes:devil:

We have a friend who has just done the "Sell your house and rent it back" system. I noted on this programme that this indeed was not regulated yet and it looks more or less like anything goes. He is over the moon that he is debt free and wasn't bothered about leaving his kids anything, as he has not yet reached official retirement age, but has retired with ill health, he has a long time left, if all goes well.
I only hope it doesn't go pear shaped for him, but I wouldn't hold my breath after seeing that last night.
As for the part of the programme regarding secured loans at extortionate rates and that's all they looked like to me. What a surprise it was RBS and Barclays named but never shamed unfortunately.

The Shared appreciation Mortgage schemes were awarded Millennium Product Status, yet the Government repeatedly fails to accept any responsibility.

It's bullying of vulnerable people, which shouldn't be acceptable anywhere in society , my mum's just told me shes looked at these in the past I'm so pleased she never bothered.
