Thousands of extra deliveries have been made by postal workers as the Royal Mail made strenuous efforts to clear the huge Christmas postbag despite the snow.

True! We received two parcels at 8am this morning. Our postie said they weren't delivering letters, but were concentrating on getting parcels out.

      Hiya.:santa_smiley:

No mail for the last few days either.

I am not waiting for any parcel deliveries thank goodness, but hubby is waiting for his compensation cheque from the insolvency service (from when the plant suddenly closed down in 2007, where he worked), they are not sending by special post either, so just have to wait now me thinks.

Looks like more snow coming our way again David, hope they're wrong though, bet its been very bad where you are, even worse than it is where I live, as your more higher ground than me?

      Good luck xXX:santa_wink:

We've about 9 inches up here and our village is totally cut off. I love it - roll on more snow!:santa_cheesy:

Thats a lot David :2w32gd1:, plenty of snowmen making then? lol.
We have had quite a bit here but not as much as you.

My aunt have had it bad too, she lives in the Rhondda Valley.

A few roads closed off from what I hear?

Must be very near us - that's where we are! And it's snowing like mad again as we speak. Eek - I'm supposed to see the consultant this afternoon!
