    I can't understand the thinking behind the firms' decisions. If they reject customers complaints almost immmediately, how will that benefit them in the long run? They'll just have to pay the FOS fees, and negotiate with the FOS anyway?

    Unless they are hoping that most people will fall at the first hurdle, and fail to take their complaint up with the FOS in the first place. Not much chance of that nowadays.

    Perhaps they should send all their staff on a beach holiday. Plenty of sand to bury their heads in.

      Welll, normally the FOS wont look at a compliant until the OC has sent it's Final Response, so if they simple refuse to do this further action with the FOS is hampered.

        I suppose that's true. But I've learned to be patient for 8 weeks over the past couple of years.

        Although in RBS's case, I had to be patient for over a year. I hope the FOS is preparing its manning levels for when the test case is over.
