Has the one eyed loser forgotten that he had to bail out Northern Rock for handing out 125% mortgages already?

The only time I think a loan of this type should be allowed is if as a country we adopted a option of more available long term mortgages at a fixed rate. And at the moment that maybe the thing that could provide some stability. Because its the increase in rates on high LTV mortgages that causes the problems in a lot of cases.

So after condoning 125% mortgages less than a month ago, 'Joined Up Gordon' who is being widely touted as the first ''Global Regulator' now wants to ban 100% mortgages.

He has no clue.

The 125% mortgages weren't, anyway. They were 95% secured mortgages and 30% unsecured loans. So a ban on 100% mortgages wouldn't have prevented them.
