I have registered a trust with HMRC and I was wondering whether or not I need to register the trust as a company n Companies House?

Why? Have you created some form of company or unincorporated association?

No I haven't, however, when looking at the application to transfer the deeds of assets to the trust, the form (AP1) does not give the option of transfering to a trust but does to a company , which is why I'm asking the question?

You would be transferring the legal title to trustees, who would hold the property on the terms of the trust.
