  • Father remarried but will mentions contemplation of marriage

    Hi

My father passed away and left a will, he left 50% of house to myself and sibling. The other half to his new wife.

The will mentions contemplation of marriage.

That this week is not revoked but any such marriage.
I don't know how the house was purchased but they are both on the land registry as proprietors.

So, do I have any way of getting my inheritance, I am in a really bad situation financially.

    Can I force sake?
    Thanks
    P. J.

As a starting point, someone will need to see the exact terms of (a) the Will and (b) the Land Registry title for the property.

Also, was your father supporting you in any way before he died?

Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
