I am one of 4 siblings - parents deceased - relatively estranged from siblings.
Oldest siblings (no wife or children) was killed in an accident about a year ago. We couldn't find a will. Siblings agreed on one sibling being executor as she lived closest. She filed the appropriate documents to process deceased sibling's estate ($2.4M) as intestate listing the 3 surviving siblings as beneficiaries. Her application was approved by the court.
Five months ago his house was sold and closed. My siblings then stopped communicating with me.
I didn't realize all probate documents are available online. When I accessed them they indicate that my sister has filed a new application for probate furnishing a copy of a 22 year old will which excludes me leaving everything to my two siblings. The filing was about a month ago and there has been no response from the court.
It seems like courts generally look unfavorable on copies of wills as they can indicate the original was destroyed on purpose.
What is the likely outcome of this filing?
