Can a physically damaged will cause a problem with processing or is a copy available elsewhere

The original Will is normally needed for Probate. It depends what you mean by "physically damaged". Perhaps you could give us some more detail. How much damage? What has happened to it? Dog ate it? Nibbled by mice? Went through the washing machine? Ripped apart in a family argument that got out of control? Is it still readable? Are all the pages there? An affidavit may be necessary to explain how the Will came to be damaged and that the document presented is the complete Will.Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.
