  • Deed of variation

    Hello,

I have a question regarding a deed of variation. My grandmother recently passed away. She had 3 children. She left one of the children out of the will before she passed away. The other two children would like to split the estate three ways, including the other sibling. I understand this can be done via a deed of variation. One of the beneficiaries however would like to gift their share to me. Can this be done via the same deed of variation? I have read that only one deed of variation can be done.

    Thank you in advance.

Any deed of variation has to be agreed by all the beneficiaries who would be affected by the change.

All the proposed changes can be made in the same deed, if all parties agree.
