Name on birth certificate testate

My deceased dads half brother just passed away leaving no wife or children so everything to go to my dads sister and because my dad is dead the other half to myself the solicitor is dealing with getting it to teste as no will was left iam admin of the estate ,however I have just discovered my dads fathers name was not on the birth certificate as yet no one has questioned this and my aunt has told the solicitor they all had the same father now a bit worried not mentioned yet to soliciter
