My husband found out last week that his estranged father had passed away. Him and his mother suffered domestic violence at the hands of him and fled about 20 years ago. His mum divorced him only about 10 years ago and my partner is an only child. We know he still owned the family home when he died and that he never remarried or had any other children. His uncle told him that he is entitled to some of his estate because we are in Scotland, although. What does he need to do to find out if his father had a will etc?
Estranged father passed away (Scotland) what next?
