My husband's parents grave Deed was registered in his name as the owner and it was his family's and his wish to have his ashes interrred, which is what happened. A member of the family is planning to transfer the ownership to me although I do not want it and live over 200 miles from the Cemetery. I think this must be illegal for her to do this, am I right? She talks about cutting and pasting but don't know what she means by that. Can she do this without my consent.? As it stands nobody owns the grave.

By freehold of a grave I assume you mean the exclusive right of burial for a specific period.
The procedure for transferring that right should be detailed on the local authorities website
Here for example is Merton's https://www.merton.gov.uk/births-mar...r-of-ownership
