question about access to accounts

My mum was in a care home . Brother had finance power of attorney . She recently died and now we enter probate process. I want to see the accounts for the period before my mums death when my sibling had power of attorney. That power expired with death. I see that under probate as a residuary beneficiary I am entitled to post death estate accounts, but what about that period where my mums affairs were managed under P of A by my brother while she was still alive ? Anyone know ?
