  • Inheritance Rights

Good Evening, I am hoping for a little assistance as I am being told different information from different legal persons.

Below is a quick brief of the situation:

My mother had a baby (me) to a married man, of which I was kept a secret to his wife.

Whilst he was living a luxury lifestyle, we lived on the breadline, often without food.

Whilst my mum would try and claim CSA for support, his solicitor/accountant would claim he was unable to afford the payments, although driving Rolls Royces, living in million pounds homes with additional holiday homes.

Although he was happy to contribute to the abortion of me, giving my mum the money.

I have recently found out he has passed away (2018) and was wondering where I stood, if I was due to inherit anything.

He had a wife and 3 additional children. They have all lived the same lifestyle as he, including private educations.

    Please can somebody assist.

I am being told I am unable to claim due to the time expiring? Yet how am I to know, when my secret father who hides himself away dies?

    Thank you in advance.

    C.

It is possible to make a claim out of time,
Read this Time Limits in Inheritance Act Claims (hja.net)
and then consult a solicitor who specialises in contentious probate to see what your possibilities are.
A fixed fee short consultation (might even let you have it for free!) to check your options
