My wife was born in New Zealand but lived in the UK for over 40 years. She had British and New Zealand citizenship. She has, sadly, passed away and I am in the process of dealing with her will. Some 15 years ago she was left some money by a relative in NZ and she started an account in New Zealand. We have used some of the money when we have visited NZ over the years but there is still a few thousand dollars left.The money has never been transferred to UK - it is entirely NZ based. What is the status of this money with regard to probate etc.?
