  • Caveat

My mother passed away in June 2018 and I am contesting her will, due to the validity. I placed a caveat in August 18 and renewed this February 19. I received a letter from my mother’s executor/solicitor requesting the reasoning for my caveat being place and I was to reply within a 14 day period. I did reply in this timeframe as my reasoning for placing the caveat on the will being invalid and that medical evidence would prove that my mother was not of sound mind when this Will was made, there was also discrepancies with items in the will that were not valid ie policies cashed prior to her making the Will also concerns over signature being my mother’s, this letter was acknowledged as being received within 14 days but as of today’s date 25/6/19 I have heard nothing from my mother’s executor/solicitor. I was wanting to know what the timeframe for her reply realistically would be for her to investigate the issues I raised ie Medical Evidence and Handwriting Expert.
