    Did anyone watch this?

IMO, the general consumer is being driven mad by all these unsolicited calls!

And, when is Richard Thomas, ICO, going to take enforcement action out against these DPA breaches?

Did watch it - makes a complete mockery of TPS! Like so many others I am completely fed up with phones calls/texts offering all sorts. My BIGGEST Issue at the mo is with PPI calls! It's not as if we don't get enough adverts about them!!!

Some companies specifically target TPS numbers - that was disgusting!

On another page at the BBC - link

Richard Lloyd from Which? Magazine said people were ticking a box giving companies consent to contact them when they browsed websites, creating a loophole for cold-calling companies.

"Even if you have signed up to the Telephone Preference Service now, it won't make a jot of difference to those companies that are buying and selling that information you gave to that website maybe years ago."
I do hope the people at the end of 0161 872 5050 take action against telesales wallahs who call that number and demand to speak to the apparently steatopygous Hugh Jarce.
