This is a bit of a beast of a situation, please any advice or comments would be beyond appreciated!
2006, get my first mobile phone contract, orange, it was under my step fathers name because I was only 16.
2008, I turn 18 and put the contrat details in my own name, or so we believed. My birth name was put to my step fathers birth date, the contract holder therefore didn't exist. I continue with the phone out of ease, 2011 I begin the long process of trying to get out of the contract, I was technically out of contract but had to continue paying!! During the time it took me to get out of orange's web I completely stopped using the phone and began afresh with another service provider. They stung me with a bill that reached several hundreds of pounds, I paid out of disbelief and without knowledge! I've begun looking at buying my first house with my young wife and already you can see
the issue, horrific credit due to an unbelievable administration error!!
To add, I had sent them copies of my birth certifacate and drivers license during the upheaval but apparently they were never received, I'm coming close to my wits ends with the whole situation.
