Ok have a mobile dongle PAYG that I use at caravan, I usually spend £15 per month for 3GBs and this is enough. I did have an original contract of £13 a month for same but as we only use caravan possibly 6 months of year it made sense to go back to PAYG.
Phone call week before last saying, fantastic offer for existing customers ( I have a mobile phone on contract too) £5.29 per month for 5GBs 2 year contract so a quick maths calc and I am indeed better off. Came home from van today, paper contract states £10'49 for 1 GB for 2 year ffs sake would I ? could I ? I think not, so half of India are now sorting this out and I have demanded no more phone calls letters or emails only and a copy of the sales recording.
Am chuffin fuming and i will win.

Just so me facts are straight
Had an 18 month contract at £13 for 3 GBs so that was £156 per year so £234 total for 18 months so then thought PAYG £15 per month for the 6 month I used it = £90 so I was saving, when the 18 month contract ran out this is what I did.
So phone call week before last ( in fact according to letter 5th Sept 2013) to special customer of and I quote '£5.29 for 5GBs per month for 2years' I said yes.
Paper contract received Saturday 14th Sept package Lite £10 your package cost £10.49 per month
          Allowance 1GB data
I will be billed on 9th of each month

            Enaid,

I've no doubt you will win. I was with 3 for ages, and found there was one person in Mumbai who was good. If you didn't get put through to him, the only way to get anything done was to go through the CEO:

              well sent him this

              Dear David,
I am a customer of 3 having a basic mobile phone contract which is all I require being IT thick, I need no fancy apps a phone call is all I need.
I also have a mobile dongle purchased through you while I visit the net on my laptop at my holiday home which I visit at weekends 6 months of the year. Initially I took out an 18 month contract for the dongle but found it cheaper to PAYG for the 6 months @ £15 for 3GBs.
After getting a very nice offer over the phone for 'current customers only' of 5GBs per month @ £5.29 on a 2 year contract I said 'yes' and who wouldn't?
Took dongle to caravan logged in only 890 MB left after 4hours use. Came home found letter in door delivered Sat 14th Sept dated 5th Sept contract 2 years (correct) £10.49per month (incorrect) and 1GB per month (incorrect)
Why would I ever agree to a deal at £5.29 per month for even 1GB when I can and was paying PAYG £15 for 3 GB I would be losing 87p per month and paying for 6 months no usage per year.
Then when it came in writing £10.49 for 1 GB for 24 months why would? I why should I ? I admitted to being IT thick, but money thick no way, sort it!
PS I do believe this is currently being sorted out in India, I need it sorting nearer to home thanks x

                    Re: ******* 3

I am not after compo only what was offered over the phone by a scots guy, delivered by post in hard copy and nothing like what agreed to or would wish to purchase in honesty. Also not having to go once again over the other side of the world and not grasping exactly what is said to be fobbed off, not having it, sick to death of it and i will go to prison if need be.
ps I need a rest lol

I think it was me who recommended you get a 3 dongle when I gave you my old Sony laptop for the caravan. I only got my dongle to cover the bank charges test case.

Since then I realized that there were no lengths that 3 won't go to.

I remember very clearly when I attempted to cancel my contract. I was met with what I can only describe was a desperate, relentless, tedious and unashamed all out attempt to retain me on some kind of deal. It was as if their life depended on it.

Am not sure you did recommend 3 tbh as I did try another network and got no signal at all. Fact is we are all now in 'NEED' of these bloodsuckers services with which we pay what we believe to be a fair deal, I thought I had one and was yet again milked if they had their way. Am sick to death, but now because I have used the dongle and I cant return it on a legit part of their contract, I have a fight . One I will take on and will win because am pissed of with it tbh.

The contract was formed on the terms you stipulated. That is simple. If they are trying to renege from their agreement then they are in breach of contract. They should honour the terms agreed and if they wont then they are repudiating the contract and you could accept their repudiatory breach and draw the contract to an end surely.
