we got Tesco broadband and home phone for 2 months, which was worst broadband we ever had as would never work and was so slow every time we called them to say it not working, they would say you have to allow 3 months for your broadband to work as it should as it takes that long for your line to settle in, anyway got fed up got rid and went to plusnet which works faster then we ever had, problem is now nearly year later they now demanding nearly £400 out of us for changing supplier but on there website it says....We’re positive that you will love your Tesco Broadband & Homephone experience, but if you decide you’re not happy with our service within the first 3 months, you can leave without a penalty.

Does it state in the contract you signed that you could end the contract within 3 months?

This is what is on their website at the moment
    Early Termination Charges
If you cancel during your minimum contract period, early termination charges may apply. These will be charged on a per month basis, for the number of remaining full months of the contract.
For example, if you were a customer who has “Tesco Broadband and Homephone (inside our network area)”, and you have 70 days remaining on your contract, you would be charged £14 (two full months at £7 per month)

Have you asked them why they are trying to charge you then?
Does it state you have to cancel in writing or similar?

          hi

How did you cancel your broadband?

Did you speak to someone, write in or did you just take out plusnet and cancel the Direct Debit?
