  • Faulty Mobile Phone

Hi I hope I'm posting in the right place (Newbie) but I need some advice about a faulty mobile phone.

My daughter was bought a mobile phone (Blackberry) by her 'Ex' boyfriend on 17th June 2012. It has all of a sudden stopped charging and wont update. We've done all the bits and bobs to try and rectify this (new battery, hard reset update etc etc) but we are unable to fix it. She knows where and when it was purchased but unfortunately does not have the receipt. Would she be able to go back to the shop it was purchased from and ask them to repair it or at lest look at it free of charge?

Many thanks in advance from a desperate mum going grey of a daughter who thinks her life is going to end without her Blackberry!!

I'm afraid to say this is par for the course with Cackberries.
We have them at work and they fail regularly, one guy manages to "break" one a month...

was the phone on a contract, or pay as you go? and if its payg is it registered?

If the phone is on contract, contact the supplier and ask for assistance, the shop can contact the store for the date the contract was taken out. unfortunatly as Curly says blackberries are prone to faults, bane of my life when i was work!!

        Yes.

        Yes, she may certainly ask.

I doubt that they will, though.
