  • Cancelling Virgin media

I called Virgin and asked them if I was in any form of contract and was told "no" so I cancelled and arranged to switch to Sky but now Virgin say I have to give them 28 days notice. Now I understand their T & C's state this but as I have not signed a new fixed term contract for many years I sought their advice. Surely "no contract" means just that and that their verbal confirmation has to stand? I've been with Virgin since they were Diamond Cable in my area so in excess of 16 years. Come on Virgin, you've had your money's worth out of me, stop being greedy.

Do not deal with their call centres - they are useless and will say anything you want to hear.

I suggest you email the Executive Office and have them deal with it. This thread should give some pointers Virgin incorrect telephone bill - Legal Beagles Consumer Forum

      Thanks Amy

Don't suppose you have the email address as I can't find it on their website?

This is the one I used Neil.berkett@virginmedia.co.uk

I had a reply the same day saying it was being dealt with, which I didn't believe. Then, sure enough, I got a call back the following day and it was all sorted out on the telephone there and then.
