we cancelled the TV with virgin ages ago. i asked them what do i do with the tv box. they said keep it and i said i dint want it. i asked them to pick it up and they wouldnt. i said i would throw it away and they just ok'ed this.

i have now cancelled all services with them and they are asking for the return of the tv box. they are going to charge me for this box.

where do i stand? i refuse to pay for the box as i tried to get them to take it away.

If you called them previously and they send throw the box away then explain that you did what the previous person from Virgin told you to. They should have a date when you cancelled the TV with them. Clarify if they mean the TV box or the modem perhaps if you have Internet with them. If they insist on charging you then WRITE a letter to them outlining the circumstances and what you did and what they told you to do.
