I have been trying since June to get back an overpayment to npower, and during this time I must have spent many hours on the phone talking to there agents who have told me that on many occasions that my overpayment as now been approved and I would receive my cheque within 10 working days. Any advice would be greatly appreciated for me to resolve this as its causing me a great deal of stress. thanks

Re: npower
you could call Ofgem see if they can help https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/
Or the Ombudsman http://www.ombudsman-services.org/energy.html
If you get in touch with either or both just drop NPower an email telling them you have done so it may shake em up a bit.

Re: npower
A spokesman for watchdog Ofgem says: ‘We do have in place a rule that states that suppliers must refund accumulated credit at the request of the customer unless there are reasonable grounds for withholding it.’
Ofgem says any customer who experiences difficulties getting their money back when switching supplier should first raise this through the supplier’s complaints process.
If the supplier does not resolve the issue, the customer can pass the complaint to the independent Energy Ombudsman, which can investigate on the customer’s behalf and take action to resolve the complaint.
