  • Desperate help with EDF threat of warrant of entry

We are in a real mess with EDF and would like to seek some guidance about how to move forwards with this.

Due to financial issues and serious over some time, we actually are in the position of owing them over £5k from the past 4-5 years onwards.

We are trying desperately to obtain help from EDF Energy Trust, but told this will be at least 8-12 weeks for a decision, we have tried negotiating with EDF to set up payment plan whilst this application is being assessed.

They really don't want to know and have told us after 31st August 2014, they will move for a warrant to enter and change us to pre-paid.

We are a vulnerable family, 14yr old son, 70 yr old mother-in-law not in best of health and personally my health has been affected by this and our other issues to the point that I am off work with anxiety and stress at the moment.

We wonder if anyone has any guidance advice about how to progress with this and our rights in terms of being heard by the judge if they do go to court.

We are in court on Friday this week to be heard regarding the level of our attachment of earnings orders for council tax to try and get these removed / reduced.

Hope someone might be able to give some guidance over time frame for warrant application etc and rights to be heard to plead against it

    Many thanks
    David
