  • Attendance Notice

Hi, was wondering if anyone can help me?

Ive been trying to work out a payment scheme with Veolia Water, they have said numerous times they would send me out a payment card but never do so, the last time I phoned they told me I couldn't have a card as im in arrears

Ive tried to get help through their charity scheme but they always say no and today Ive received from Trust Recoveries an Attendance Notice.

It says that they have been instructed by the water company to process a claim against me and court documents will be delivered to my home address/work place.

To avoid unnecessary expense please contact the writer to arrange a convenient time to accept service!

Im a single parent with 2 disabled children in the house, on income support and not working - this is so frightening

Can anyone please give me any advice as when I look up attendance notice on the web it says they will force entry into my home!

    Thank you.

    Re: Attendance Notice

    Hi,
I am sorry to hear of your problems, when you say their charity always says no I just wondered if you followed the advice on their website about getting help completing your form?

Welcome to the Veolia Water Trust

The help is through the CAB and they will make sure they will only take what you can afford to pay.
If you haven't already done so I would contact the relevant CAB and ask for their advice telling them where the situation is at the moment.

      Re: Attendance Notice

Thank you for the prompt reply - ive sent of 2 of the charity forms and both times they say they have gone missing, Ive just been asked to prove income and never been asked to contact the CAB

I have to get proof of income etc both times and my youngest has vast disabilities and I admit to getting very overwhelmed with life in general and sometimes dont respond as quickly as possible

I will get hold of my local CAB today but really wanted to check that they cannot come into my home with going to court first - is that right?

      Thank you for your advice.

          Hi ditracy,

Could you tell us who this notice is from?

Does it state that they are bailiffs?

Reference above, Trust Recovery seem to be process servers.

                How very curious.

Their "litigation manager" seems to be one Eric Drake, who signs (or rubber stamps) his name as "E. Shillard".

As enaid (post #2) has said, a visit to CAB is the way forward.

If they don't know that already, I expect they'll soon learn.

                          Got a result

The man from CAB phoned up the Water Company who have agreed to deduct a small amount from my Income Support each week and its been taken out of the hands of the Debt Collectors who had originally sent me the Attendance letter - thank you for the advice
