Government insulation grants for England, Scotland and Wales

As part of a Government promise to reduce carbon emissions, every home in Britain is entitled to free insulation grants for cavity wall or loft insulation.
Insulation grants will cover between 40% and 100% off insulaton for your home, which means you’re able to insulate your cavity wall and/or loft (and significantly save on your heating bills), for free!

As you know I've applied for the other one. Sadly we are not eligible for these ones as we had to sell our house. When we did, we sold it to Hafod Housing Association - we lost money in the fact that they only pay 80% of the value, BUT we have been able to stay in "our own" home, and there is a clause in the contract which means our daughter can take it over when we go (hopefully a little while yet!) so we felt it suited us, especially as any other money released would have been eaten up by our other debts and we'd have been faced with "real" rents - our house would cost about £850pcm to rent on the private market, but we pay £450ish!
