Hey I have just been contacted by Pre Action with regards to Utility Bidder for my company. My situation is they called me over a year before my current energy supplier contract ran out and set me up a new contract to start when this ended. Then about a month before my current deal ended I had a call from another company offering me a deal. (I had forgotten about utility bidder as it was so long ago) and I set up an agreement with them. I have now been charged almost £2k by ( £750 per meter unit + VAT) by Utility Bidder and Pre Action for there deal not going through. Do I have any way of fighting this?

Hi BOBBYHARRY
Welcome to LB
Go through their Terms and Conditions, it could be that the Terms and Conditions are 'unfair'.
Go through what Utility Bidder did in detail, from the phone call etc.
Did they do everything they should have.
You could consider sending them a SAR.
Also if you do a search on this site, then you should find other helpful threads on this site.

Ask for copies of all paperwork they rely on in support of their assertion that they are entitled to claim money from you.Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.
