  • Solar Panels

I have just had solar panels fitted total 8 panels plus battery and bird protection. The surveyor who came although not pushy convinced us they were the right firm to deal with. So all was more or less signed and sealed on his visit and the job completed a ew days later. We were charged over !3,000 and then on FB there were loads of adds and not one was any where near that price and some even less than half.
I feel totally ripped off so if anyone has had similar what were you charged . I would also like to know if there is anything legally I can do to get a discount as it stands we paid deposit and took out a loan with them over 10 years and thinking after the fact we paying a small fortune and may not last till its paid off. Thanks in advance xxxx

If you mean £13,000, that is a little more than we paid for 9 panels and a battery. Admittedly we did the panels and battery separately, so had to pay VAT on the battery.

You could of course have shopped around.

Yes I was going to get more quotes but because we signed up that day it was going to be a problem getting assessors round before the job was done hope that makes sense. VAT has been cancelled now so another reason we fell ripped off xx
