  • Flat not registered on national database

I moved into my flat about 4 months ago and ever since then we have had trouble trying to set the gas and electric meter up. We have contacted Cadnet the Gad company and they told us to contact a energy supplier so they can set us up an MPRN, but every supplier we have tried with has said they cannot help us due to our flat not being registered on the national database.

when we first moved in we told the estate agents that we are struggling and does the landlord have any idea on what do to, they said the landlord didn’t know and was sending somebody out to look at the meters. Somebody did come out but he didn’t know what to do either he said the landlord must be paying.

I don’t want to just leave this as I don’t want a bill coming my way in the future but I am at a loss on what to do?

    Hi AL

    Welcome to LB

Exactly right, the energy sector is the 'wild, wild, west'.

Scroll down to 'Finding a gas or electricity network operator'

    Update with progress.
