  • Subject : Backbilling.

How do we go about applying to a utility company to ask them to instigate backbilling on an account where we feel they are at fault for a massive bill building up?
Also with a letter arriving stating that someone will be attending to enable a prepayment meter to be fitted, do we refuse them on attendance to make them apply to a court which then can be challenged?

I, and I am sure, many others, contribute to this forum, for free, in their spare time, and there is little enough of that. It is an unreasonable sense of entitlement, verging on arrogance, to demand that I, or anyone else, give prompt attention to your problem, and particularly so, where, on your own admission, you have had five years to deal with it.

I wish you good luck, and now bow out.
