Brand new to this site. Seeking advice for a close friend of mine. A gas bill that was never set up and now has a ton of back payments was put in her name, without her knowledge or consent, while she was away on a trip. Previous letters from the utility company reminding them of charges and requesting setup were sent to her roommates, and were never under her name. She had an agreement with her roommates that they would set up/handle the bills, and they have been charging her money for a bill they evidently never even set up. Is this legal? What forum should I post this in? Thanks!
