We have some upcoming repairs to the chimneys in our building. The contractor requires access to flats to disconnect gas appliances and check fireplaces are secured to avoid damage. One owner has gone AWOL and left no contact details. We have no way of tracing them or any idea of their date of return. Worst case scenario, are there any legal avenues available for us to gain access to their property to allow the above to take place should they not return in time? They are aware of the upcoming work, the dates, and have paid towards it.
