  • Purchase of adjacent non domestic land to my house

Hello , a small patch of land ..non domestic shed on it , is up for sale , If I bought the land whats the process of getting that land encompassed into my property so that I was paying only one council charge ,rather than having to treat it as a seperate entity .any advice appreciated
    thanks

As the plot is designated individually, that may be difficult. However, if you have a word with the planning office, they may be able to help. It may be more costly to change two properties into one than the continuing individual payments.

Thankyou for your reply , sorry for the delay in replying ..a bout of covid got in the way .
ive contacted the planning dept of the council to seek their thoughts on he matter also .the whole issue of the fact that the piece of land 500 sq meters is classed as non dometic somewhat confuses me ...since it has a rateable value in region of £2000....i gather id pay council tax at a proportion of that amount but wonder what other fees annually I may incur for owning a piece of land that has this classification.

      cheers
