Selling House - Co buyers - One unwell

Morning folks,

We recently accepted an offer on our house from a couple in their 70s. The lady had a stroke at the start of the year. They are cash buyers, and we concluded missives 2 weeks ago (date of entry is early June).

The lady has just had another stroke - might be a bit morbid, but I am wondering what might happen if she were to pass away before completion? We have concluded missives on our own purchase (new build).

Shelter has information of this subject and it says that once the missives are concluded it is legally binding and there is no backing out unless a provision is written in the missives to do so. If a person were to die, the executors should complete the purchase of the property.
