    I 'd read that these spammers are often about manipulating search engine rankings but I hadn't seen it done that way before. I guess the spammers try to hide the existence of the link in the hope that the sites they post on don't spot it is spam. Hence why this spammer spoofs genuine posts by paraphrasing them.

    Is SEO = search engine optimisation?

      Yes, SEO = search engine optimisation.

        Yep. Often the link will be in a white font which is only detectable if you run your cursor over it or highlight the text.
