VW Camper 1970 Fully Restored Rust Free
BODY
This Bus had a full body strip down at a excellent body shop to inspect for rust and corrosion about 5 years ago, it had any repair kits which where required, rear arches, rear conners, etc.. Nothing was missed. It had a full set of second hand rust free doors fitted then also.It was Prepared ready for paint with immaculate attention to detail. It was Painted and Oven baked Properly. The finnish on the paint has a beautiful shine and is without marks.
Its now 5 Years on and it is still rust free and very nice.
INTERIOR
The Bus also had a full interior strip down about the same sort of time. Everything that went back in the bus after its strip down was either new or recovered.
It had a 3/4 with Rock and Roll bed, Buddy seat, 40 L 3 way fridge, Gas Grill and hob, Sink with bottle and pump, table, and side cabinets.
All the trim was retimed in red and beige, and new curtains fitted.
It had a split charge system fitted with a second battery for camping, lighting ect..
it had 240 hook up fitted also
and 5 years on the interior still looks like new, with no marks or tears.
MECHANICAL
The bus also had a lot of Mechanical work done about then, it had a new 1641 engine, with twin carbs, new fuel pump, new fuel pipes and lines, new fuel filter, and throttle cable fitted. It had a new distributor, coil plugs leads ect..It had a new alternator and alternator conversion kit fitted. it had a new clutch, and clutch cable fitted. It had a front and rear brake overhaul, with new calipers, master cylinder, pads, discs, shoes and cylinders etc.
The bus has been lowered.
It runs very well with no oil leaks, and is a lot of fun to drive.
It has done very little millage in the last 5 years and had mostly been dry stored.
It currently has a MOT and It also has Road Tax, (WHICH IS FREE!!)
