Viruses, Viruses Viruses.

I am sick and tired of viruses on my computer. I am sick and tired of these companies who set up sites, producing software to protect our machines from viruses. I have my suspicions that these companies produce these viruses and sell software to stop them, which in turn installs more viruses. It is a money making scam which needs investigation. Is there a government body which monitors computer viruses and where they come from? is there a government body who monitor these anti virus producing companies?

If you have a recurring virus problem, maybe there is an underlying problem?

touch wood, in over ten years online, ive never had a 'proper' virus. i have downloaded a couple of infected files etc but thats it.

Im not sure what kind of files your downloading which contain the virus do you have a facilitiy to scan files before opening??

Since my two sons left home I have had no problems. I never download anything nowdays. They were downloading all sorts and leaving it to me when problems occured. I just think the companies who peddle these anti virus downloads are the instigators of the viruses and should be investigated.

I have actually had this theory too, but i expanded it to cover pharmacutical companies (cold & Flu remedies?? i swear they make me worse), garages (put my car in for an exhaust, 2 days later have 2 slow punctures?? coincidence?? i dont think so.
